My PiggyVest Experience.

Growing up I had a Kolo, ( Kolo is an olden day-saving box where money was kept) the one I had was made of mud and any little inconvenience, I’ll take a pin to pull the money out, or las las I’ll just break it.

I don’t know what I was doing but in my head then, I was saving money, it didn’t take me anywhere 😂 It’s January the first month of the year there’s no better time to save money than now. I started saving with PiggyVest early last year January, when it was formally PiggyBank, through a friend’s referral link.

I had told my mum earlier in the week that I needed a new phone. When I told her the phone I wanted, she didn’t pay attention to me again. Jokingly I told her, I’ll get it myself and she replied as a typical African mother “you’re on your own” 😂 I opened the account but I was so reluctant because I actually didn’t know what I was getting myself into but I was so desperate to get a new phone, I tweeted who knew anything about it and I eventually got someone who gave me the detailed information I needed.

Saving with PiggyVest started officially, it started with me saving really little every week. 2019 was a money demanding year for me, I was doing my final year project, preparing for my final year dinner, my final year thanksgiving and at the same time, I had to put in mind that I wanted to get a phone. It was honestly so exhausting. I had to make a conscious effort to save regardless of how small, I focused more on getting things that I needed not the things I wanted. It was really tough cause there were temptations everywhere. I saved consistently for 9 months and in September I already had enough money to get my phone, I couldn’t even believe I had saved so much. I was so proud of myself.

I’m currently saving again for a camera for photography I honestly don’t know how long this will take but I pray it is even much easier than how getting my phone was.

Saving money is very important and again there’s no better time to start than now, there are so many advantages

It helps in emergencies, savings can go a long way in alleviating the situation.

• Helps to finance travel trips, savings can help the dream of going on vacation come to reality, so Canada 🇨🇦 we move 💃🏿

• There’s nothing like financial freedom, savings gives one peace of mind, helps one enjoy financial freedom.

• Not having to ask people for money, do you know how amazing it is, when you don’t have to turn to others to get your financial needs to be taken care of? And if you don’t have anyone you can turn to for help, then this one is even more important for you.

When it comes to saving, the important thing is starting small especially if you’re a student, corper, or just as an individual that doesn’t earn so much. If you’re working or you have your own business, the same also applies to you, you can save daily, weekly, monthly whichever one is comfortable for you, little things create big things eventually.

One thing I love about PiggyVest is their customer service, they have such an awesome customer service, whenever I have an issue, I message them on their socials and they help me resolve it, and other times when I just need more information about something.

If you want to open an account with PiggyVest it is very easy, all you have to do is to download the app (PiggyVest) it is on both iOS and Android.

Use my referral code for a lil gift 😁

Referral Code

I haven’t given the detailed information, you can always ask someone who uses it or better still just send a message to them on their socials if you need more information, you can do both.

Trust me that the African spirit is in everyone if there’s one thing I know we don’t joke with, it is with money. Nobody is taking your money, it is only encouraging you to save money, you can always monitor your money and withdraw it when you want it, there’s so much more to this and there are so many other features on the app but I’ll let you figure that out.

Cheers to all the money to be made in 2020🥂💸 and in this decade too✨

Not forgetting to save too!!! 🙅‍♀️🏾😁
