Netflix and Chill

Something for you to start the new month with. Happy June 🎉

Hey guys, how are you doing? Me? I’m good just tired of this lockdown. If there’s one thing we can all relate too, it is being tired of the lockdown. Day what is it again?

For someone who doesn’t like watching movies, I have watched quite a lot this past weeks/months. Netflix movies I’ll recommend for you to watch during this lockdown. Hopefully, things get back to normal soon and a lot better too, I really miss outside, eating out and just having fun.

Usually, when my Netflix is about to expire I cancel my subscription to avoid stories that touch but this time around, I totally forgot, well it is not so bad since I literally have nothing doing.

So it’s Netflix and Chill now 😂I love movies that you can’t easily predict, movies that you’ll definitely want to finish.

Some people will tell you about movies and it will make you wonder if it is the same movie you watched or another 😂 this is my review anyway so,

Grab your popcorn

In no particular order ✨

• Badla –

”Everyone has their own version of the truth”

I screamed! You really never know, I feel like if I talk too much, I’ll end up spilling or telling you what happened and that’s not the plan 😂 it’s with a lot of twists, mystery, the plot twist. it’s worth the watch.

• Fall from Grace –

With the reviews I got on twitter, I didn’t want to watch it, it kept popping up and I decided to see it. It was nothing like the review, I couldn’t wait to see the end, I especially liked how unpredictable it was and the twist that was in it

• Miracle in a Cell –

When I first heard about this, it was from twitter and everyone that watched it said they cried 😂 I remember watching it and saying I won’t cry 🤣 from the middle of the movie, I couldn’t control the tears

It was a really emotional movie for me and I loved the ending. If you’re going to watch it just watch it normally, not because you don’t want to cry 😅

• Overcomer –

Beautiful souls are shaped by ugly experiences”

It’s a Christian movie and it’s a little different from the usual Christain movies. I didn’t cry, I have heard so many people say that it made them cry and now it’s making me feel like I watched the wrong movie 😂. Talk about coincidences that happen in life. The overcomer is more on faith, hope, purpose, even with everything going on, it gives you something to believe in.

• Someone Great –

I love how realistic the movie is, it was filled with a rollercoaster of emotions too. One thing about life is as hard as it is, things change, people change if nothing at all change is one of the things that is constant in life. ”We’re forced to make decisions that lead us in opposite directions. But the important thing is to remember your own greatness and know that it is not something to be chased in the form of somebody else. You are enough. And you are someone great” – Jackie Rapetti

• Love wedding repeat

There are a million different ways one moment could go.

”Life is about grabbing those chances when they come around”.

This movie was confusing, I’m indifferent about this movie, it was okay to watch, like a 6/10

• Always be my maybe

Don’t stand in the way of your own happiness. Love yourself and love those around you courageously.

Be brave, be authentic, and be passionate with your relationships and your life.

I loved the comedy aspect of the movie and it also had important advice on relationships, ”Don’t settle for what looks good on the outside.”

It’s worth the watch.

SET IT UP

”You like someone because of something and love them despite everything

We get so busy or occupied with life that sometimes we forget that what we want/need is just right in front of us.

Watch it 😁

• Shawshank Redemption“Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of the things. And good thing never dies.” – Andy Dufresne The movie set in the 90s is basically about a banker(Andy Dufresne) who was wrongfully convicted of murder, his journey and experiences in prison. It is a rollercoaster of emotions that grips you hard at moments and lets your mind wander freely at the same time. The movies depict the theme of Hope, Persistence, Friendship and the ability to make the best use of whatever situation you find yourself; this can be seen as Andy Dufresne finds a way to enrich the lives of the prisoners by badgering the state legislature for funds to equip the prison library and serve as a place to help prisoners obtain their GEDs. It’s a highly inspirational movie that will have an effect on how you view life and will change your perspective on how you approach life. The movie is based on a Stephen King’s novella “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption”.

• Gladiator – I remember watching this movie as a kid and I loved it and watching it now as an adult, words can’t explain how good this movie is. Just like fine wine, Gladiator keeps getting better and better. It’s truly a masterpiece!!! Superb acting, amazing sets and visuals, amazing script, brilliant directing. I’ll run short of adjectives to describe how good this movie is! Russell Crowe’s (Maximus) introduction of himself remains epic till today” My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.”

My review yo! We can’t all have the same reaction to the movies

Is there anyone you’ve watched? Tell me about it.
