Reassurance.

Happy December🥳 my favourite time of the year, even if though it doesn’t really feel like it where I am. My fingers are crossed anyway. I pray it’ll be an amazing month filled with many blessings. (Amen)

Coming up with “titles” can be so hard, this one especially 😂

There are some things we take for granted, especially when it comes to the amazing people we have in our lives. People need reassurance by reassurance I mean sending messages to people you love, telling them how much you love and appreciate them, or even better, saying it to their faces. When I try to appreciate someone and then they think I’m gassing them up “whining” because they don’t hear it often. It doesn’t have to be someone you are in a romantic relationship with, it can be to a friend, family…, anybody in your life that is a blessing – someone that adds more colour to your life. You don’t have to wait for their birthdays to come, birthdays just come once in a year. Imagine having to wait for your birthday, so you can be appreciated, a person’s birthday is the opportunity you are supposed to use to tell them how much they mean to you but then you’ll still see messages like “ Hey happy birthday you already know how I feel about you” Know what? They don’t know anything o, how are they suppose to know, when you have never told them? You don’t reach out to people only when you need something or when you’ve a problem, but personally, I don’t have an issue with that for someone to reach out, that means they thought of you and you can be the light to someone’s darkness. It’s really not a big deal. I had a friend who I really liked, we spoke every single day, there was nothing that would stop us from talking, we had a petty fight one day, and the talking reduced, then eventually we stopped. We were in different schools, there was no effort from both sides again, I got busy with school too, so I didn’t pay attention again, a particular day I got a message from an unsaved number ”Hey Eyilayo, Inaam has told me so much about you, he passed on earlier this week, please don’t cry so much he wouldn’t want you too, take care of yourself ” I was so upset with myself, it felt like I was having a bad dream, it was just for me to wake up, I begged God but nothing, I wished I sent a message or at least reached out, the petty fight wasn’t even necessary, thinking about it then and even now, but that was that and none of the tears would bring him back. Most times we wait till the end of the year to appreciate people, well it’s okay too but then it’s too far. People are going through things that they cannot say or do not want to talk about, so your reassurance message can go a long way, it doesn’t have to be an epistle, it can just be a paragraph, no special event, just you telling them, it’s the thoughtfulness that counts and it is always little things that mean the most..

”Be the rainbow to someone else’s cloud”

”Give people flowers while they can smell them” There are so many things we take for granted consciously or unconsciously, almost every time I try to appreciate the people in my life, I try not to take things for granted too. Tomorrow isn’t promised, we don’t even know what will happen later today.

Send a reassurance message to someone today and if you don’t have anyone. send to me 😂but there’s always going to be someone, people in fact.

Thank you for reading 💛

Love alwayssssss
